- Among the worlds top 400 (top 3%) universities in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
- Ranked equal tenth among Australian universities and third within Victoria.
- Maintained a top 100 ranking in the ARWU for Physics. This ranking makes Swinburne the only Australian university outside the Group of Eight to achieve a top 100 rating in a science discipline.
- Named in the top 400 in the Times Higher Education University World Rankings 2013-2014 and top 500 by the QS World University Rankings 2013.

- The majority of Swinburne’s international students study at our Hawthorn campus in Victoria, Australia.
- Just 10 minutes on the train from Melbourne’s city centre, Hawthorn is Swinburne’s main campus and is located in one of the city’s most beautiful suburbs. Set amongst the cafes, boutiques and bookshops of Glenferrie Road, and with the convenience of a supermarket and railway station practically on campus, it offers a desirable student lifestyle.
- There are several on-campus accommodation options available and students can also choose to live nearby and walk to class through the parks and leafy backstreets.
